A group of students from the Utrecht School of Arts (Netherlands) have created ” Block Blazers“, a multi-player, platform game that allows for “8 players and an audience” to play at the same physical location. The setup consists of a virtual world that is projected onto two screens “standing back to back”. Video demonstration after the jump. Here’s how it works:

Each player controls an avatar that runs around in the virtual world. They compete with each other in collecting blocks and building billboards exposing their faces to the gathered crowd.
