You saw it debut at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year, but Volkswagen has announced that its I.D. Buzz Electric Microbus will be slated for production for a 2022 model year release in the US. It will feature level 3 autonomous driving technology – means the driver is still present and will intervene if necessary, but is not required to monitor the situation in the same way it does for the previous levels – a fully electric engine, and be able to travel 270 miles on a full charge.
