Volocopter eVTOL Air Taxi Test Paris
Volocopter’s eVTOL air taxi successfully completed a public test flight from the inaugurated vertiport of the Aerodrome of Saint-Cyr-l’Ecole in Paris. This test included maneuvers to and from the vertiport, ground handling, communication with air traffic control, and battery charging.

The 30-foot aircraft comes equipped with 18 rotors, each equipped with its own electric motor, enabling the air taxi to hit a maximum air speed of 68 mph. When its Li-ion battery packs are fully charged, it can travel up to 22-miles. Early prototypes will require a pilot, while an autonomous flight mode should be available in future models.
