
You don’t see abandoned Walmarts everyday, but a few years ago, there was one in McAllen, Texas. After inheriting the abandoned structure, architecture firm Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle (MS&R) transformed it into the largest single-story library in the US, spanning 124,500 square feet, equal to approximately 2.5 football fields.
