Ever wonder what will happen when the Milky Way and Andromedia galaxies collide in billions of years? If so, the simulated images above should give you somewhat of an idea. Surprisingly enough, “though the galaxies will plow into each other, stars inside each galaxy are so far apart that they will not collide with other stars during the encounter.
