It’s better to be safe than sorry, or at least that is what one Japanese company thinks when it comes to . They have created a portable bomb shelter that can be customized to fit anywhere between one to seven adults and can be placed in apartments, basements, backyards, or even underground. The company touts that their WNIShelter is capable of withstanding a blast from a “zigzag” missile, which they have yet to explain.
These portable metallic shelters are touted as being explosion-proof, shock-resistant, and offer heavy protection from radiation, along with biological / chemical weapons. Step inside, and the shelter can maintain a positive air pressure of up to 1.07 atm. in 6.5 to 17 seconds, keeping radioactive compounds and other contaminants out, while a Rainbow 72R filtration system filters out 99.995% of contaminants from the outside air.
