That's right, this strange alarm clock only turns off when you feed it coins. That's not all, it costs a hefty $51 and is only available in Japan.
Meet the BANCLOCK alarm clock. Not to be confused with the bang clock, this alarm clock features a display like a national debt ticker and alarm which can only be turned off by feeding the damn thing some coin

alternativly you could just turn it off at the plug? or... get some string, somehow attach that to a coin then put it in the clock then pull it out.... i guess that elimates the purpose of it though

A mate of mine asked me today what alarm clock he should buy. I'll pass this one on to him. Its funny because he never has any money (well, not when he has to pay me back) :-D

I think this is a smart idea. the only way u can turn it off is by feeding it a coin meaning u have to getup and find a coin. bet it comes w/ battery inside so u can just unplug in. besides by the time u open it up to get the battery out, u'd probably be awake enough lol
