Rimac Concept One

Finally, after months of testing, the Rimac Concept One has finally hit the streets, and in grand fashion. Unlike other electric cars, this one boasts four permanent magnet electric motors, one for each wheel, producing a total of 1073-horsepower and 1,195 lb-ft of torque, good for a 0-62 time of 2.6-seconds, while topping out at 186 mph in just 14.2 seconds. “Interestingly, the Concept_One then uses four gearboxes, one for each wheel, to send power to the ground via a complex torque vectoring system. The production-spec car was presented at the Geneva Motor Show earlier in the year. The Croatian startup intends to produce eight examples, but it isn’t known just when customer deliveries will commence,” reports Car Scoops.
