A 2002 Chevy Silverado pickup truck isn’t exactly synonymous with drag racing, but this one may be the exception. Put simply, the only thing left from the factory vehicle is its steel bed, but the rest of the body is fiberglass. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 5.3L V8 that now makes 1,500 horsepower.
The Hoonigan crew decided to pit the pickup truck against a heavily modified 2018 Audi R8, which boasts a 5.2L V8 engine generating 1,200hp, mated to a reinforced seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. With that said, the supercar is 200 pounds lighter than the pickup truck, so the power difference is negligible. Let’s just say that the winner may surprise you.
