The 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish S may not look much different from its predecessor, but under the hood, it now sports a tuned 6.0L V12 with a new intake system, boosting the already menacing 565-horsepower to 592-horsepower, mated to a re-calibrated 8-speed Touchtronic III automatic transmission. An updated suspension offers more precise control in sport modes, while several aerodynamic pieces have been added, including a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser. “The twelve-cylinder puts down 465 lb-ft of torque at 5500 rpm, helps the car jump from zero to 62 mph in a claimed 3.5 seconds, and has its sights set on a target max speed of 201 mph. That’s three-tenths quicker to 62 mph than Aston’s claim for the non-S Vanquish,” reports Car and Driver.
