Everyone’s got to eat, and what could be easier than having a machine do all the work for you? Thankfully, such machines do exist in the real world, but unfortunately, they’ll set you back a pretty penny or a few hundred thousand. Continue reading to see them all.

5. Rice to Bread Machine

On October 8, Sanyo Electric will release the GOPAN, the world’s first bread maker that can make bread from regular grains of rice. Unlike previous products, which required the use of rice flour to make bread, this cooker uses grains of rice as the main ingredient. This minimizes the cost of materials, and makes it easy to bake rice bread at home.

4. Ramen Robot

Humans are not completely out of the equation. They have to step in occasionally to prepare the soup stock, take orders, and receive money. But the robot arms will take care of the rest. The machines are pre-programmed to boil noodles, pour the soup into bowls and sprinkle toppings. Customers get to watch the entire process of ramen-making, which takes 1 minute and 40 seconds per bowl.

3. Latte Art Printer

Thank you to everyone who has shown such strong interest in being the first to own a Latte Art Printer. To date we have received a total of (993+) latte art machines pre-ordered from all over the world. We know that the big question is how much does the printer cost. We are still evaluating the figure at the moment. However, a rough, ballpark estimate is leading us in the $500-$1500 range. We will definitely keep you informed of that figure once it is finalized.

2. Robot Chef

‘Motoman’ can produce over three dozen savoury Japanese pancakes in four seconds (or something like that…), is never late for work and never makes mistakes – bad news for all those chefs who consider the microwave essential to haute cuisine.

1. Soft Serve Beer

Japanese brewer Kirin has come up with a new machine that makes soft serve beer. The Ichiban Shibori Frozen Draft machine pumps air into super cooled beer and creates a creamy, frozen, foamy head that insulates the brew below. Maybe Kirin ought to team up with Pinkberry.
