Rolls-Royce Boat Tail
Think of the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail as a luxury yacht with wheels, which fuses a historical classic body type with a thoroughly contemporary design. It may still be powered by the factory twin-turbocharged 6.75L V12 engine making 563 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, but just about everything else is bespoke on this custom coachbuild.

This luxurious vehicle was built for a private client that took a liking to the 1932 Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, and what stands out most is its Azur blue bonnet. Up front, a Rolls-Royce pantheon grille replaces the traditional stainless-steel finish, while the rear boasts twin side-opening compartments, complete with a dual champagne cooler, a set of crockery by Christofle of Paris, and even a proper refrigerator. When you want to enjoy a cool breeze, simply remove its detachable carbon-fiber roof.

Historically, coachbuilding had been an integral part of the Rolls-Royce story. In the contemporary Rolls-Royce narrative, it has informed our guiding philosophy of Bespoke. But it is so much more. Rolls-Royce Coachbuild is a return to the very roots of our brand. It represents an opportunity for the select few to participate in the creation of utterly unique and truly personal commissions of future historical significance,” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce.
