Weighing in at just 249 grams (0.55-pounds), the DJI Mini Pro 3 is set to become a compact drone that packs big features. It’s confirmed to have an improved 3-axis gimbal, an E24 F1.7 camera, massive front / ground sensors, along with new backwards sensors. Its weight is significant because the Mini Pro 3 would be classified as a recreational drone and will not be require registration with the FAA in the US. The two forward-facing sensors will most certainly improve obstacle avoidance, while the two downward sensors should definitely help the drone from crashing into objects. As for flight time, the 2,453mAh battery should provide a maximum flight time of at least 31-minutes on a single charge. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability, but we expect an official announcement to come later this month.
