Hyundai Lunar Rover
Hyundai announced today that it has partnered with several aerospace companies to start building a lunar rover. Based on the Lunar Mobility Platform (LMP), it will includes solar charging, autonomous driving, thermal management, radiation shielding, and the ability to carry various equipment up to a maximum weight of 70 kg

Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation join forces for their advanced robotics, autonomous driving technologies (camera, LiDAR), driving system (motor, wheels, suspension), charging parts (solar panel, battery) as well as Hyundai Rotem’s robot manufacturing technology for the multi-purpose mobility platform. Before it can be sent to the lunar surface, Hyundai will first complete mission-based performance testing of the development model in an environment similar to the Moon’s surface and then make refinements based on the results.
