The world’s first Angry Birds cafe and retail store is set to open in Flushing, Queens on Friday (July 8). This 3,300-square-foot establishment, called iSwii, features a collection of Instagrammable NYC-themed statue installations right outside the entrance and a giant mural ceiling with Angry Birds graphics, along with flooring inspired by desert sprinkles.
You’ll also find a colorful terrazzo counter, a nest-like wicker, hanging chairs, bird paradise graphic wall coverings and shelving units adorned with tropical plants where hatchlings wander around. An interactive glass-partitioned exhibition display lets guests marvel at custom-decorated cakes and pastries. Private parties and events take place in private ‘nests’, or rooms loaded with Angry Birds VR games as well as treats, complete with themed gift bags.
