Apartment Paris Giant Camera Obscura
H/t: Peta Pixel
Photographer Mathieu Stern wanted to capture the Eiffel Tower in a way that he has never tried before and this method involves turning an apartment in Paris into a giant camera. More specifically, the apartment would be used as a giant camera obscura of sorts, or a darkened room with a small hole or lens at one side through which an image is projected onto a wall.

The key to this giant camera was a lens kit called BonfotonUP, which essentially enables users to project an obscura image right side up. However, the right apartment had to be located, and fortunately, there was a perfect Airbnb listing for such a project. For those wanting to try this project themselves, you’ll need a knife, wide-angle lens, tinfoil, a 50mm lens, gaffer tape, spring water, scissors, and of course, a BonfotonUP kit.
