‘Postcard from Earth’, an 18K film by Oscar-nominated director Darren Aronofsky, has opened at the Las Vegas Sphere. Think of this experience as a portrait of our planet combined with a sci-fi experience that takes audiences on a journey spanning all seven continents and out into space.
It makes full use of all of the Las Vegas Sphere’s cutting edge technologies to immerse audiences like never before, starting with the highest resolution LED screen in the world. Beamforming technology enables audio to be directed to specific locations at a volume that remains consistent and allows multiple forms of content to be delivered simultaneously. In other words, two people seated in different sections could hear completely different things. All of the footage you see was captured by Aronofsky using an 18K camera that takes 12 crew members to operate.
