Chris Steinbacher of B is for Build recently took his custom off-road Lamborghini Huracan to Las Vegas in preparation for the Mint 400 race in December. Officially called “The Jumpacan,” this is not simply a stripped supercar, but it actually started as a wrecked vehicle that was purchased and then 3D-scanned by the team to get things straight again. Next, they swapped out the original V10 engine for an LS V8 out back, mated to a Graziano 6-speed manual transmission. Read more for two videos, additional pictures and information.
After the chassis and engine was squared away, the team equipped it with a long-travel suspension designed by SEM Dirt, complete with 35-inch tires up front and 37-inch tires in the back for 12-inches of ground clearance. Other upgrades include Holley engine management, a relocated radiator right behind the cockpit feeding a roof scoop, Ford Shelby GT500 brakes / calipers, Rotiform wheels, a roll cage, racing fuel cell, and snug racing seats.
