Onkyo has just unveiled a new pair of true wireless earbuds (CP-TWS01) that are modeled after the SEGA Mega Drive (Genesis) and the Dreamcast. Both limited edition variants launched in Japan today, priced at around $108.79 USD.
As for the earbuds themselves, they do not appear to have Active Noise Cancellation, just the iconic logos on the housing. The charging cases were designed to look like their respective game consoles, complete with the iconic SEGA startup sound for the Mega Drive model. You can’t leave the Dreamcast model out either, since it also has an exclusive startup sound, or more specifically the sounds from its system menu.
- Pay tribute to the classic Sonic the Hedgehog video game and recapture the magic in LEGO style with this brick-built version of the famous game level
- Includes a Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO minifigure, Dr. Eggman with buildable Eggmobile, Moto Bug with 2 face options, and Crabmeat figures
- Push the lever and launch the LEGO Sonic minifigure for Super Sonic jumps to evade the Bug and Crabmeat LEGO Sonic figures and collect the rings
Released on September 27, 1998 in Japan, the SEGA Dreamcast was ahead of its time. Why? It was the first game console to include a built-in modular modem for internet access and online multiplayer play. Ultimately, limited third-party game support caused its demise.
