At $729 USD, the Daylight Computer DC-1 is more of a tablet than PC, but it does have its quirks, most notably a Live Paper display. No, this isn’t an E-ink screen, but rather a 10.5″ monochrome reflective IGZO LCD display that is faster than the former with a 60Hz refresh rate.

Features include a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a USB-C port, microSD card reader, and an 8,000 mAh battery, all running on a custom version of Android 13 called Sol:OS. This operating system is designed for simplicity, complete with a custom PDF reader for reading and annotating documents. Shipments are expected to begin in July 2024.
