Flexbar MacBook Pro Touch Bar
Remember the Touch Bar found on Apple MacBook Pros between 2016 – 2021? Well, it’s been revived as the Flexbar. Put simply, ENIAC turned it into a standalone 10-inch aluminum bar-shaped device with a 2K AMOLED display that can be connected to a computer, tablet, or smartphone via USB-C cable.

Think of Flexbar as a simplified Elgato Stream Deck that replaces the fixed keys and controls with a touchscreen interface that can be fully customized. Third-party API support enables Flexbar to work almost natively with compatible applications, or just use the included FlexbarDesigner software to personalize it however you like. You can pre-order one on Kickstarter for $119 USD, with shipments beginning in February 2025.

Flexbar MacBook Pro Touch Bar

The discontinuation of the original Touch Bar didn’t mean the concept was flawed—it simply wasn’t taken far enough to reach its full. There’s something undeniable itself: the potential for a customizable, adaptive interface that could streamline workflows was immense,” said the company.
