Polaroid Flip Instant Camera Reveal
At $199.99 USD, the Polaroid Flip could be one of the coolest-looking (and stylish) instant cameras out there. It mixes old-school Polaroid charm with new tech to give you a fun, classic photo-taking vibe.

It’s got a clamshell look that folds up, with a flash that pops open and also covers the lens, kind of like the old Polaroid One Step but with smoother, curvy edges. You can get it in two styles: all black or white with orange bits.

One neat thing is its hyperfocal 4-lens setup, which picks the right lens for you depending on how far your subject is (0.65m for close-ups, 0.85m for headshots, 1.2m for group pics, or 2.5m for wide views), making sure your photos come out clear no matter what you’re snapping. We can’t forget about its Sonar Autofocus either that uses ultrasonic pulses to measure subject distance (0.4m to 4m) to deliver crisp focus even in low light. You half-press the shutter to engage it, and the camera audibly switches lenses.

Housed in the flip-up lid, it’s Polaroid’s brightest flash yet, adjusting power based on subject distance and illuminating up to 4.5m. A unique feature that warns you via a red LED in the viewfinder or a small lid display if a shot might be over/underexposed or if the subject is too close, reducing wasted film.

While primarily point-and-shoot, the Polaroid app (via Bluetooth) lets you override auto settings, adjust aperture, shutter speed, or enable modes like double exposure and self-timer. These modes are also accessible on-camera via a mode button. Early access for Polaroid members started April 15, 2025, with general sales on polaroid.com from April 29 and retailers like Amazon from May 13.
