Introducing Toyota’s prototype “Woven City,” which is a 175-acre plot of land that will be turned into a futuristic theme park of sorts, with construction set to begin in 2021 with Danish architect Bjarke Ingels’ Big designing the entire thing.
How will people get around? There’s going to be three types of mobility lanes: one for autonomous vehicles, another designated for personal mobility devices (bikes, scooters, etc.) and a third for walking. Yes, there will be high-tech houses too built with sustainable wood, complete with photovoltaic tiles for power. Inside, it will be loaded with AI and robot technology. Beneath the city, there will be hydrogen cells for power storage and water filtration systems.
