Spring Design’s Alex Reader may look like the Barnes & Noble Nook, but that’s where the similarities end. Slightly thicker than the Amazon Kindle, this e-reader features a secondary capacitive touchscreen that’s running Google Android. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced. Using its built-in 3G modem or Wi-Fi, the Alex will let you visit a web site, select a story, and the device will reflow it to the EPD screen.
