The all-electric CUPRA e-Racer, based on the Leon Cupra TCR world touring car, has made its track debut in Zagreb, Croatia, and it’s definitely no slouch. It boasts a 65kWh battery pack with 6,072 cells, or the equivalent to 9,000 mobile phones, and generates 402 hp of continual power and 670 hp of peak power, which is good for a sprint to 0-62mph in just 3.2-seconds. “The company said that the first results are very optimistic, especially considering the high temperature conditions at the track. The e-Racer is the first touring car that complies with the rules in the new E TCR series, the first electric multi-brand touring car championship,” reports Car Scoops.
