Antonio Romero Monteiro World Record Largest Video Game Collection
There are now video game consoles for dogs, but Antonio Romero Monteiro from Texas still holds the Guinness World Record for largest video game collection yet. To date, he’s amassed a collection of 24,268 titles that have an estimated worth of about $2.1-million USD, which all started with purchasing and repurchasing some of the games he played in his youth.

Collecting wasn’t for the monetary value, as Monteiro sees video games as art, where creativity and storytelling can transcend into limitless possibilities. Every generation is different, while giving further potential to realize creativity as well as the ability to share boundless stories. Some of his most treasured memories include video games, along with their experiences with family and friends.

Antonio Romero Monteiro World Record Largest Video Game Collection

It can be pretty challenging to find retro games and systems in local video game stores, especially as you get to the last 15 percent of a collection. Some of the rarest games have taken me years to find a good copy at an affordable price. I am currently working on completing my Nintendo DS collection and am down to the last 98 games out of over 1,500 games in this collection,” said Monteiro.
