Anywhere Robotics’ Pixmo robot arm can quickly and safely unload heavy packages from a trailer. This is actually the world’s first heavy-payload collaborative arm and is fully ISO certified safe to work directly with human employees.
The demonstration video shows an optional conveyor system that minimizes the amount of lifting Pixmo has to do, thus allowing the robot to handle boxes weighing up to 65 lbs using a lift-and-slide technique. The conveyer system also decreases the distance that Pixmo has to move the box, eliminating the need for the arm to rotate around.
- Build your own awesome, wearable mechanical hand that you operate with your own fingers.
- No motors, no batteries — just the power of air pressure, water, and your own hands!
- Hydraulic pistons enable the mechanical fingers to open and close and grip objects with enough force to lift them. Every finger joint can be adjusted...
In our long-term vision, we believe that the future will have two different types of general purpose robots. In one direction is the humanoid form, which is a really flexible solution for jobs where you want to replace a human. But there are so many jobs that are just not reasonable for a human body to do,” said Thomas Tang, CEO and Co-Founder of Anywhere Robotics.
