Aptera’s first unveiled plans for an electric vehicle way back in 2007, and since then, it’s evolved into a never charge solar-powered electric vehicle. The 3-wheeled vehicle can travel up to 1,000-miles on pure sunlight, thanks in part to its 700 watts of solar capacity, which is capable of harvestoing 4.4 kwh of energy per day in ideal conditions. Aside from the 700 watts of solar capacity, it features two passenger seats and boasts 25 cubic feet of rear cargo space. Its liquid-cooled electric motors enable to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, while topping out at 110 mph. To date, the company has received over $4-million in funding, notching over 13,000 pre-orders in the process.
