When it comes to riding around a city, you could either take a standard bike, scooter, or Arcimoto’s Mean Lean Machine. The latter is an all-electric tilting trike that has a similar form factor to a bicycle, but with just an extra wheel up front for additional stability. No concrete details have yet been revealed, although the company is aiming for a range that exceeds 200-miles on a single charge. Read more for a video of it in-action and additional information.
The electric motors will be located in each wheel, while the act of pedaling generates power for the thumb throttle. As for suspension, you’ll find a rear spring shock and the main battery unit up front for optimum weight distribution. There’s no word yet on pricing or ability, but the company is also exploring the option to use this product as fitness/exercise equipment.
