If money is no object and you’ve always wanted your own personal ski lift, then look no further than the dolaGon. This autonomous ski lift vehicle, based on the Polaris Ranger UTV, is capable of picking you up at the base of a mountain and then proceed to drive up to the top, thus providing access to on-trail as well as backcountry ski areas. It doesn’t require a human driver, as the vehicle relies on GPS and LiDAR for autonomous operation. Read more for a video and additional information.
Once dolaGon drops off its passenger(s), it then makes travels back down the mountain autonomously awaiting the next journey. Yes, it can still be driven manually should one feel adventurous enough or just want a thrill. Unfortunately, there’s no plan on selling this to the public, but rather private travel agencies who will have at least one guide available per dolaGon to monitor its operation.

Our focus really is on safety,” said Dr. Seth Neubardt, New York-based orthopedic spine surgeon.
