
Artist and designer Derek Pearce has created a unique line of furniture called “Water Tables,” with each one featuring an animal that appears to be partially submerged in water. These may not fool anyone, but they are however, both functional and aesthetically pleasing. There’s no word yet on if he plans on releasing a DIY line through IKEA stores. “Pearce’s playful but adept aesthetic stems from a wide breadth of experience as a performer, stage carpenter, musical director, and teacher. He’s been building his Water Tables since 1997, and they’ve since been exhibited and sold throughout America, Europe, and Japan,” reports My Modern Met.
