Astronomer Sebastian Voltmer was peering through his backyard telescope when he spotted a UFO-like object zipping across the Moon. The first things that came to mind was that it was probably a satellite or a space station, but they typically don’t shoot past the Moon at such a high speed.
One other possibility he ruled out was a meteor since it didn’t have a distinctive tail being and its slower rate of speed. Voltmer believes the object was traveling at an altitude of 100 to 200 kilometers, i.e. in the transition to the so-called Low Earth Orbit. However, the exact shape of the object cannot be made out from the still image as it has been blurred by the speed it was traveling at.

While I was filming the Moon, I suddenly saw a fast, bright something darting through the image. Our Moon and a fast moving object seen through my C11 telescope,” said Voltmer.
