Photographer Moab UFO

It’s not uncommon to capture birds or other explainable aerial phenomena when filming with a drone, but photographer James Cawley might have captured two anomalies when he was in Moab, Utah. These two objects in question were filmed with a DJI Mavic 2 Pro and were flying far too fast to be another drone or animal. He says that there was no audible noise coming from these objects and if it was bullets, there would have been a gunshot echo.

No matter what kind of drone, Cawley would have heard a buzz as these objects were less than 200-feet above him. He’s even seen meteorites explode, and those leave a green cloud of dust, so that’s definitely out of the question, especially since this event took place at sunset rather than at night.

The most obvious assumption would be that these were bugs or birds. I’ve seen many of them flying backlit like this over the years. What made me question these objects was the speed. Since I had a Tiffen 1/8th Neutral Density filter on, the shutter speed of the video is 1/60th of a second and my drone was less than 200 feet above me when I saw these pass. I turned to watch them fly over the horizon behind me and they glinted like metal from the low sun,” said Cawley to PetaPixel.
