When is a go-kart not just a simple vehicle used at the track? When it’s powered by a motorcycle engine. More specifically, a 652cc DOHC, Inline-4 engine making 64hp @ 8500rpm, which may not sound like a lot, or at least compared to modern bikes, but it definitely gets the job done here.
The only issue we see with using a motorcycle engine rather than an electric motor is noise, but we’re assuming that anyone driving this go-kart would be doing so at a race tack rather than around the neighborhood. With that said, this definitely looks like something that needs some track time.

With buying a business and the extra work involved it doesn’t leave me with much time for a car project at the moment, but I had to do something with the little spare time I’ve got, so I decided to build the kids (me mostly) a go-cart out of that old Kawasaki KZ-650 motorcycle engine that I bought at a swap meet about 15 years ago for $30,” said its creator.
