Let’s face it, cleaning bathrooms isn’t the most glamorous of tasks, and that’s where the autonomous SOMATIC robot comes in. Rather than rely on manual labor, this robot utilizes a no-touch, three step system to clean all bathroom surfaces without the need for direct supervision, thus reducing staff turnover.
After entering the bathroom, the robot begins sanitizing surfaces before a jet of fresh water is sprayed to remove any debris. This step disinfects all surfaces and is very effective at eliminating odors, mold, mildew, as well as allergens. The robot is trained using a VR simulation of the bathroom, showing it exactly where to spray / wipe chemicals, vacuum and blow-dry. Once fully trained, the robot utilizes a variety of sensors, including LiDAR, for navigation.
