Banana-Bit Arduboy Handheld Game Console
Banana-Bit just might be the world’s first Arduboy-powered, banana-shaped handheld game console. At its core, the Banana-Bit is an open-source gaming device designed to run over 300 Arduboy games. The Arduboy platform typically relies on an ATmega32u4 microcontroller, an 8-bit AVR chip from Atmel.

Its display is a key feature, and Banana-Bit offers three versions with varying screen sizes. The base model, dubbed the “original experience,” likely mirrors the Arduboy’s standard 1.3-inch monochrome OLED display—128×64 pixels, driven by an SSD1306 controller over an SPI interface. The mid-tier Pro version boasts a “larger display with an even smoother peel,” while the Pro Max version, with “more screen,” could push to a 2-inch display or even a higher resolution like 128×128. You can pre-order the base model for $39, with shipments expected to begin in May.

Banana-Bit Arduboy Handheld Game Console
One cool feature is their game jam initiative. If you submit a game to the Arduboy Banana Jam by April 30 (no year specified, so this might be an ongoing or past event depending on context), you could win a free Banana-Bit.
