If you demand the ultimate in face shields, the BioBYZR is definitely something that falls under that category. It’s officially knownas a Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) and uses a battery-powered motor fan to push air into the shield, creating positive pressure inside the BioVYZR’s hood. This positive pressure pushes is used to push out exhaled air from inside through two filtering air vents, while air inflow passes through a N95 filter to remove up to 95% of particulate matter. It can filter aerosol-transmitted pathogens, mist droplets, pollen, dust, soot, and pet dander, but when infectious particles are caught in the filters, filters must be replaced carefully to avoid contamination.
