BOOX Palma ePaper Reader E-Ink Display
There’s the world’s first E-ink tarot card reader, and then Onyx’s BOOX Palma. This ePaper reader is as close as you’ll get to an E-ink based smartphone. Featuring a 6.13-inch E-ink (824 x 1648) display with 300ppi, an octa-core Qualcomm mobile processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and Super Refresh software that lets you set a refresh rate that best suits the use case.

Customizable side buttons let you personalize shortcuts that facilitates your navigation, while the minimalist design is perfect for reading an e-book, listening to a podcast, or just browsing RSS feeds. Best of all, it runs an Android 11-based operating system, enabling you to install most apps found on the Google Play store, complete with Bluetooth connectivity as well as dual microphones. One caveat: there is no front-facing camera, but there is a rear camera. The pre-order for $249.99 USD is sold out, but a retail unit is planned for $279.99, with a launch date yet to be set.
