BMW i Vision Dee Concept EV
We have seen the future of EVs, and it includes the BMW i Vision Dee concept. This futuristic vehicle not only looks the part, but has the technology to back it up, namely its outer skin with 240 E-ink segments that can each display up to 32 colors. These segments can be controlled individually and configured with various patterns in seconds, which makes this EV a great promotion tool for companies as well.

To achieve this, BMW engineers had to laser cut the films and the electronic controls were designed in collaboration with E Ink. At first glance, the i Vision Dee appears to have the classic three-box sedan look, complete with BMW kidney grille, twin circular headlights, and aerodynamic windscreen. Step inside, and you’re greeted with the BMW Mixed Reality Slider in combination with the advanced heads-up display. These two technologies combined offer an augmented reality projection that engages different senses without requiring any special headsets or glasses. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on if BMW is planning a production model.

With BMW i Vision Dee, we are showing how the car can be seamlessly integrated into your digital life and become a trusty companion. The vehicle itself becomes your portal to the digital world – with the driver always in control. Implemented the right way, technology will create worthwhile experiences, make you a better driver and simply bring humans and machines closer together,” said Adrian van Hooydonk, head of BMW Group Design.
