Boston Dynamics Happy Holidays Spot Robot Dogs
Boston Dynamics wishes you happy holidays the only way they know how, and that is with a trio of Spot robot dogs. Unfortunately (or fortunately), they aren’t dancing to BTS or any other songs, but rather working together to put a bow on the top of a Christmas tree located at company headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts.

One of the Spot robots is equipped with an extendable arm, but in the real world, users can attach a variety of outside hardware using the mounting rails as well as payload ports. After attaching the hardware, simply use the Software Development Kit (SDK) to create custom controls, program autonomous missions and integrate the sensor inputs into data analysis tools. Even without any extra hardware, Spot is rated to carry and power up to 30.8-pounds (14-kilograms) of inspection equipment.
