Ever wonder just how strong a coffee table made of bulletproof glass really is? Well, so did Ben Nelson, and his latest project shows us just that. “A round ball actually creates a very small area of impact against a flat object, which means it reaches amazingly high PSI (pounds per square inch) of impact force. The ball cracked the glass, creating an interesting spider-crack pattern. The crack is INSIDE the glass. The top surface is still smooth to the touch. You won’t cut yourself on it, and it still makes a good writing surface and place to set a cup of coffee,” said Ben Nelson. Click here to view the first image in this week’s geek life gallery.
