Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 is set for release in 2023 and we get a first look at the gameplay as well as some of its open world exploration. This installment will feature Arcade / Training modes, online matches, local versus battles, and more, all found within the Fighting Ground. Plus, there are two new modes: World Tour, a single-player immersive story mode, and Battle Hub for online matches.
The game is being developed with Capcom’s own proprietary RE engine, which was previously used to make Resident Evil 7 and Devil May Cry 5. This allows the developers to thoroughly enhance the visuals in every aspect of the game, whether it be beads of sweat rolling off skin or muscles tensing up when used. Unlike its predecessors, Street Fighter 6 boasts a Drive System, which can be utilized to perform five different techniques that can easily enhance your offense or defense. For an arcade experience at home, there’s the Arcade1Up X-Men vs. Street Fighter cabinet.

Finally, we’re happy to announce a new feature that will add all the hype of a competitive match without actually being in one. Enter the Real Time Commentary Feature. We’re working with well-known FGC (Fight Game Community) commentators and other recognizable faces to incorporate their voices directly into the game,” said Andy Wong, Sr. Manager, Social Media and Community, Capcom.
