Using the world’s largest laptop at home is one thing, but you’ll want Compal Electronics’ Mobile Office when on-the-go. This laptop concept has a folding hinge for its hand rest that claims to reduce device footprint by 50%, all the while boosting thermal performance by 25%.
That’s not all, the folding hinge also hides a few I/O ports, which includes two USB ports, headphone jack, and a memory card reader. It recently took home 2023 IF Design Award in the Computer category. On a related note, did you know that Taiwan-based Compal Electronics has produced laptops for Dell, Acer, Google, Toshiba, Hewlett-Packard, Fujitsu, and even Apple. They are the second biggest laptop manufacturer in the world after Quanta Computers, which is also based in Taiwan.
