DIY Perks Matthew Framework Triple Screen Laptop
Similar to this suitcase computer, inventor Matthew Perks has created his own triple screen laptop. Before we dive any further, it would be more accurate to call this a portable triple screen computer rather than a laptop, since it consists of a 15.6″ 4L (3840 x 2160) 120 Hz screen, paired with two 9.7″ (1536 x 2048) iPad Retina displays on each side.

A 3D-printed case is used to conceal a Framework laptop mainboard, battery, Adafruit display adapters, cables and other hardware components. Since this is more portable computer than laptop, it requires a separate keyboard and mouse, with the hardware propped up on legs. If nothing else, this is most certainly a viable triple screen workstation that you can bring almost anywhere.

Use m2.5 and m3 inserts for the smaller and larger holes on the 3D print (m2.5 for Framework screw holes and Display Control Board holes). The leg holders need to be more robust – some improvement needed here. The iPad screens need to have the metal tabs removed first (do this by bending them repeatedly) with the cable folded like in the video (this requires the tape holding the cable down to be cut through first),” said Perks.
