CudaJet First Underwater Jetpack
Similar to this robotic octopus, CudaJet lets humans fly underwater, or so we’d like to think. It’s claimed to be the world’s first underwater jetpack and free from tethers as well as other external power sources. A single 75-minute charge powers the dual-jet-drives for up to 40-minutes and is good for a top speed of 7mph.

A patented propulsion system and compact design helps CudaJet achieve a power to weight ratio of 3:1 kg – not including the harness. The latter was designed in such a way to transfer the jetpack’s thrust to the user while still maintaining flexibility and comfort. It weighs in at around 29-pounds or 32.7-pounds with the harness when out of the water. One caveat: pricing starts at $18,000 USD.
