Robotic Octopus Spy Robot
There are underwater drones, and then this robotic octopus that researchers used to study aquatic life. More specifically, they disguised the robot as a coconut octopus traversing the waters in Indonesia, looking for a hiding spot as Blacktip sharks hunt nearby.

Camouflage won’t work with sharks because they can detect prey with their sense of smell, so that really doesn’t leave it many options. It does however mimic its real-life counterpart quite well, but with integrated cameras and sensors. The robot stumbles upon half a coconut shell in which it attempts to share with a friend. Coconut octopus typically measure 3-inches long and including the arms, 6-inches long. They display a typical color pattern with dark ramified lines similar to veins, usually with a yellow siphon. You can find them on sandy bottoms in bays or lagoons.
