It’s no Viper Defender, but this custom rally Dodge Viper by Matt Brown, also known as SuperFastMatt, can be used for much more than just a television show. This vehicle started out as a normal first-generation (1991-1995) Dodge Viper, before its suspension was completely revamped.
The makeover included cutting the fenders to fit the massive all-terrain tires, as well as designing custom uprights for the front suspension to work with aftermarket long-travel shocks and springs. A Jeep Wrangler Rubicon-sourced solid axle can be found in the rear, complete with a locking differential. Power still comes from the factory 8.0L V10 engine generating 400 hp and 462 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed Tremec T-56 transmission.

I’m frankly impressed the Viper managed 4.2 MPG going (I’m hailing the algorithm here) full throttle most of the day. That’s only about half what my daily gets on surface streets,” said one fan.
