
Fidget spinners are the current craze, but not all are created equal, especially when it comes to quality. Backyard Scientist wanted to create one unlike any other. So, he decided on building a custom rocket-powered version. “I built a custom fidget spinner out of 1/4in aluminum plate and strapped 3 E sized rocket engines. The spinner has a 6 inch radius, so it travels ~37 inches to make a full circle. Its spinning 88 times per second (5200 per minute), so that means the tip is traveling 276 feet per second, or 188.182 MPH,” said the inventor.
