Is a Tesla Cybertruck, more specifically, the Cyberbeast trim, faster than all of the Tesla Performance models in a drag race? Mat Watson of CarWow wanted to find out, so he brought all of them to an empty airfield for the ultimate EV drag racing showdown.
The 6,843 pound Cybertruck is powered by three electric motors making 845 hp and 863 lb-ft of torque, enabling the pickup truck to go from 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds. Both the Tesla Model S Plaid and Model X Plaid also come equipped with three electric motors that make a combined 1,020 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque.

Battery state of charge really matters with Tesla as other than the Cybertuck they are all 400V. I had a Performance Model S and the difference between 90% and 50% battery was stark, it felt like it had half the power at 50%. I’m sure it was more but it felt like half. I know the Plaid’s are better now but lower voltage means less performance. My 800V Taycan now if far far less pronounced than the Tesla when the battery gets low but there’s still a difference,” said one commenter.
