
Let’s face it, sometimes trains get delayed (or you’re very punctual), and what better way to spend an extra 5-minutes or more than by getting some exercise as well as a free scarf while doing so? Meet the Cyclo Knitter by design student George Barratt-Jones.



Jones started with an assignment to make something with a weaving technique for the Design Academy Eindhoven. Since he liked making projects that are useful and make people smile, it was only natural for him to make something that will keep busy while waiting for your train in the winter. With gears in place and connected to the bike, he used the old bike inner tubes as drive belts.

That you can decide to keep yourself or give to someone who needs it more,” said Jones.
